On January 11, 2014, a group of 49 young leaders of the Salesian Youth Movement in Nairobi Sub region, met for the annual leaders’ seminar. The event took place at Don Bosco Utume. The main aim of this seminar is to equip the
young leaders with leadership skills necessary for the animation of local units. The leaders who participated are involved in animating the Salesian Youth Movement programs in their own local units and they are always the right hand of the Sisters and Salesians. They are, indeed, responsibly taking active roles in animation.
The Sisters and Salesian deacons and brothers organised an intensive program consisting of formative talks from experts, creative discussions, sharing and much group work. It was an actual workshop. Most of them participated in the recently concluded SYM forum and they were recalling with nostalgia the formative program offered in that
The SYM is a strong body that should not be neglected. Through this, many vocations are born. Courage to all the members of the Salesian Family… let us uphold the Salesian Youth Movement and support the young in all aspects especially in their human, spiritual and moral formation.
