The Laura Vicuña Foundation celebrates two (2) decades of providing leadership in child protection and development. Its dynamism is palpable in its remarkable growth and its far-reaching impact in its empowering partnerships among its children served, networks, donors, business and community partners.
The strength of the LVF lies in its wholistic program approach dubbed as the Journey of Hope with multi-staged community and center-based programs which have and continues to empower thousands of youth to become self-reliant and productive Christian citizens.
Value added are the effective and self- sustaining mechanisms of its prevention, protection and developmental program initiatives which is owned by its project stakeholders. This augurs for the sustainability of the program benefits in the young as well as the organization.
Asia Pacific NGO Awards celebrating Success, Rewarding Excellence 2005 Casebook describes the Foundation, “The Laura Vicuña Foundation serves as a model for the vast majority of NGOs in Asia that is small but capable of contributing to society through their diverse and determined resource mobilization.”
LVF won as the Best NGO in the Philippines as well as Third Place at the Asia Pacific NGO Awards held in Singapore in 2005.
LVF will continue to innovate programs which will empower children in need of special protection to claim their dignity as God’s children and live life to the full.
